Camel Active Find A Store Administration Tool

Challenge:
Design an online tool that allows authorized market administrators in different regions to administer and maintain contact information for stores and distributors in 40+ countries on the live Camel Active Web site. With thousands of records to manage, Camel Active needed an efficient, user-friendly tool that would provide an easy way to present, edit, add and delete records while maintaining multiple safeguards, since the changes would be made directly to the live site.
Solution:
The finished tool combines simplicity of presentation with ease of use. It provides users with easy access to all possible functions on top level screens, but narrows options to the relevant selections once a specific task has been initiated.
Login access is limited to authorized users with a valid username and password. The login sequence allows authorized users to request a password reminder, but will not accept incorrect entries beyond 3 attempts in a single session.
Records are organized first by country, reflecting the regional structure of the Camel Active marketing team, and then by one of 4 types of record (Store, Shop-in-shop, Stockist, Distributor). Authorized users log in, select the country and the type of record they wish to update, and then may add, edit or delete as many entries as they like. To make the vast number of records more manageable, users may select sub-sets of individual records to work on. Users may delete multiple records all at once, but to avoid confusion, they may only add or edit one record at a time. They may also remove a country (by deleting all records within) or request that a new country be added.
